STEP 3: On 3rd step, First check the date option in column date format and then select MDY from the drop-down list.Click Finish after selecting the date format. I need to apply conditional formatting on cells containing dates (expiration dates of certificates). The reason behind this is that some dates are showing as dates, but they are actually in Textformat. Choose the dates in which you are getting the Excel not recognizing date format issue.
